Updates - EAAG

EAAG hosted the 5th Annual Philanthropy Conference themed ‘’Philanthropy Collaborations – Pulling together for Better’’ on November 15-16, 2017. The Conference objective draw from the activities, experiences and trends in the last 2 years. 

It attracted 150 participants and included 36 speakers (panelists, expert and case study presentation). They included government representatives, CRS executives, foundations and trusts managers, community philanthropy groups, UN representatives and others from the region and beyond. EAAG received overwhelming support from its members and partners

East Africa Association of Grantmakers (EAAG) will become the East Africa Philanthropy Network (EAPN)

EAAG will officially change its name to the East Africa Philanthropy Network beginning in January 2018. A rebranding exercise will be launched to reflect these changes. The new name reflects the changing context in the philanthropy sector and captures the different forms and structures of philanthropy in East Africa beyond grantmaking.
